Two Healthy People Equals One Healthy Relationship

Thumbnail

Two healthy people equals one healthy relationship.

A relationship can only be as healthy & loving as the people in it.

People in healthy relationships have healthy boundaries. Here’s how you can improve your boundaries.

First, respect people’s personal space as well as your own.

Second, speak for yourself. Don’t speak for other people. Don’t give unsolicited advice or interrupt others while they’re talking. Don’t assume you know what other people feel or think because you don’t.

Third, if someone says no, listen to them. Don’t pursue them further.

Fourth, and this one is HUGE, do not expect anyone to change for you. So many people suffer because they’re hoping someone will change. That’s co-dependence and it’s a relationship destroyer.

And last but not least, don’t give to the point of depletion. You violate your own boundaries when you do and you bring everyone down with you.

Remember, you teach others how to treat you by the way you treat yourself. You deserve a healthy relationship and these tips will help you have one!
