Almighty Will

Almighty Will

Sometimes God blesses you by solving your problems. Other times, God blesses you by giving problems to overcome. I was born into a spiritual community and I’ve spent my whole life as a spiritual student, including a period of atheism. I’ve been blessed beyond many people I know and I’ve also experienced more emotional pain than a lot of people I know. After a lifetime of Godwrestling, I’ve learned this: As you pray, intend, believe, think, whatever you want to call it, remember the most enlightened prayer or thought is that Divine will be done. The purpose of prayer is to transform you, not to make you more comfortable by taking all your problems away. Peace and fulfillment come when you ask God what to pray for. When you ask that God use you for the highest purpose. When you give God a to-do list of all of your wants you’ll spend your entire life chasing wholeness and happiness. Even when you’re shaking in your boots with fear and doubt, if you show faith in the Divine and give your worries to God, you will be soothed.     Heather Hans, LCSW, MSW, MBA, CPIC, is a Visionary, Healer & Teacher, and the author of The Heart of Self-Love: How to Radiate with Confidence. It is Heather's firm belief that loving oneself is necessary to have fulfilling relationships and a successful life.  Join Heather’s 30-Day confidence challenge at avanoo.com If you enjoyed this blog, get Heather's love direct to your inbox with email updates. *Your address will NEVER be shared with...

Receptivity

Receptivity

Union with the Divine, union with yourself and union with a lover happens when you’re not resisting. Union is what we all want so you must learn how to embody non-resistance. “Nothing can be forced. Receptivity is everything.” ~B.K.S. Iyengar, World’s Leading Yoga Teacher You’re not grasping for anything nor are you resisting anything. You’re letting go and letting God. “The space between the inhale and the exhale is where potential exists.” ~Chinese proverb Learn to love that stillness, that non-resistance. “Purity is receptivity, the ability to sit and wait patiently, for as long as necessary, for the coming of the light.” ~Dr. Frederick Lenz, American Buddhist Teacher Receptivity is the perfect opening for a miracle to be born! “The receptivity of the artist must never be confused with passivity. Receptivity is the artist’s holding him or herself alive and open to hear what being may speak.” ~Dr. Rollo May, Existential Psychologist The Latin root of receptivity is to bring back or recover. When you receive, you recover your health, your strength, and the love that is your birthright. “By surrendering, you create an energy field of receptivity for the solution to appear.” ~Dr. Wayne Dyer, Self-Development & Spiritual Messenger To cultivate receptivity: Take care of your needs so you remain centered Believe that you are loved unconditionally and that you’ll be taken care of Use intention Rest in silence Notice synchronicity and acts of love towards you You can’t receive when you always beat up on yourself! How many times a day do you have a self critical thought? That’s at least the amount of times you are unable to receive blessings. What prevents receptivity? Fear Cynicism Focusing on what’s missing Neglect Forcing your will Allowing yourself to receive is an act of faith. The bigger your act of faith, the bigger your reward!

Synchronicity Is God Winking

Synchronicity Is God Winking

Synchronicity means The Divine is looking out for you. On Christmas Day a 33-year-old man fell off a cliff and died while he was looking at his phone. He was just walking! When I heard about it I knew it was a message for me. 33 is my number. It’s my numerology path; it shows up wherever and whenever God and I are communicating with each other AND I’ve had a bad feeling about texting while in motion for a while; not just in the car, but walking, running, anything. There were a lot of news stories that day and I don’t check the news everyday but that particular message came through loud and clear to me because I needed it! Nothing is in vain. That man’s death was used to serve others. Synchronicity is The Divine winking on you. Are you paying attention to the synchronicities in your life?     Heather Hans, LCSW, MSW, MBA, CPIC, is a Visionary, Healer & Teacher, and the author of The Heart of Self-Love: How to Radiate with Confidence. It is Heather's firm belief that loving oneself is necessary to have fulfilling relationships and a successful life.  Join Heather’s 30-Day confidence challenge at avanoo.com If you enjoyed this blog, get Heather's love direct to your inbox with email updates. *Your address will NEVER be shared with...

Two Healthy People Equals One Healthy Relationship

Two Healthy People Equals One Healthy Relationship

Two healthy people equals one healthy relationship. A relationship can only be as healthy & loving as the people in it. People in healthy relationships have healthy boundaries. Here’s how you can improve your boundaries. First, respect people’s personal space as well as your own. Second, speak for yourself. Don’t speak for other people. Don’t give unsolicited advice or interrupt others while they’re talking. Don’t assume you know what other people feel or think because you don’t. Third, if someone says no, listen to them. Don’t pursue them further. Fourth, and this one is HUGE, do not expect anyone to change for you. So many people suffer because they’re hoping someone will change. That’s co-dependence and it’s a relationship destroyer. And last but not least, don’t give to the point of depletion. You violate your own boundaries when you do and you bring everyone down with you. Remember, you teach others how to treat you by the way you treat yourself. You deserve a healthy relationship and these tips will help you have one!

What’s Your Personality?

What’s Your Personality?

We all love em’. We all hate em’. We all got em’. What’s your personality? When you honor your strengths you feel less judgmental towards yourself and other people. Truth is, we can’t group personality traits into right, wrong, good and bad because what bothers you about someone might be just what the doctor ordered for someone else. It all depends on chemistry. All of us have strengths & weaknesses. You can go much further in life by focusing on your strengths, not your weaknesses. Everyone was meant to come in with their own brand. Other people’s personalities might drive you crazy but life certainly wouldn’t be as exciting without them. We are all suppose to have different strengths & weaknesses, that’s what creates harmony. My personality is extremely passionate for better or worse depending on my mood & level of self-control. I choose to make it better by showing up for life fully alive & honoring my drive to learn & achieve. Sure all that fire gives me a short fuse, nothing every happens fast enough for me, and I can’t stand dealing with the mundane details of life. But what good would it do to focus on these things? I couldn’t change them if I tried and if I did I’d lose my passion too! What are your personality traits? Whatever you are consistently good at and that you enjoy doing, that’s your brand. As long as you’re a human being, personality is par for the course. But who am I you may ask? And how do I find out what my personality is? Here are some recommendations for you that I have taken myself and used with clients: Myers-Briggs Test Enneagram Test Your Astrological Sign Your Numerology Life Path Strengths Finder Color Code Test Strong Interest Inventory Report Personalities don’t change. The one you’ve got is the one you’ll have for life. You are supposed to be the way you are. Cheers from one personality to another!

A Word For Your Inner Defeatist

A Word For Your Inner Defeatist

Do these defeatist words sound familiar to you?   Things are always gonna end up badly. I’m always gonna be broke. People always end up disappointing me. I’m always gonna live here. I’m always gonna struggle with this habit. It’s always gonna be one health problem after another. It always seems I cant win!   The defeatist has a lot to teach us. First, thinking in absolutes like always and never makes you depressed! It limits your perspective and makes you less flexible and able to adapt. Another thing is that your inner defeatist is worthy of love! They probably have good reasons for feeling the way they do, but if you would like to feel happier you have to realize that the inner defeatist never finds magic because he or she doesn’t believe in it! That’s true for most things in life. Those who believe, receive! It’s hard and unrewarding work focusing on trouble 24/7! Maybe it’s time to thank your inner defeatist for their service and let them retire. A big world awaits you!

Now Is The Time

Now Is The Time

There’s no such thing as the future, spiritually speaking. Life is a moment in time. That moment is now! How long would it take you to get across the world if the world were the size of a grapefruit to you? Time would mean something very different than it does now. Now is when you vibrate! Now is when you express yourself! Now is when you do what makes you happy! You think that reality is what you see and hear around you, but what you see and hear around you are results of past thoughts and actions. Now is when you meet your twin flame, even if you’ve known them for 20 years! Now is when you heal your marriage or get divorced! Now is when you are present with your child! What you will see, hear, and touch in the future are results of what you think and feel now! Now is when the magic happens! Now is when you appreciate life! Right now is your opportunity to find love and happiness! Watch a child. Their power and pleasure lies in the now. Now is when you heal yourself! Now is when you take that nap you need. Now is when you choose thoughts that are positive. A Harvard study says we are not present nearly half of our waking moments. When you’re not present you’re a slave to evil because it sucks life rather than giving you new life. Your vibration is lowered and you attract lower quality people and experiences to you. You miss out on joy and love which causes you to suffer. Accidents happen when you’re not present because your concentration is diminished. So why be present? Because NOW is all you have! It’s never going to be better one day; you’ve got to make it better now! To become more present pay attention, do something simple to brighten somebody’s day, notice your body sensations, observe the vibe of other people, breathe, change your routine, pause between each activity. Now, now! Life is to be embraced NOW!

Down With the Victim Games

Down With the Victim Games

This just in! The main source of human drama is reported to be the Victim Triangle. The triangle consists of: A: The Classic Victim B: The Perpetrator C: The Rescuer At any given time, you can see yourself and those around you starring in one of these 3 roles. The Persecutor: “you hurt me so I’m gonna hurt you!” Bleeds into Classic Victim role: “Ah, I’m weak! I’ll never be able to do it right! Other people are superior!” In steps The Rescuer to save The Victim: “Let me take care of you! I know how to take care of everyone else but myself! I will do it all for you. I’ll make life all better for you! Nobody knows the trouble I know!” You know what? These victim games are wasting my energy! They’re preventing me from living! They are downright ridiculous!   (After Heather Stops the Victim Games) Freedom!

Momentum

Positive thoughts. Negative thoughts. Healthy habits. Unhealthy habits. Feelings. Emotions. Beliefs. Practices. Expectations. Intuition. Laughter. Faith. Trust. Love. Momentum. It’s what’s for power. Wherever you place your focus gains momentum. “Something in motion stays in motion unless you stop it.” -Galileo’s “Inertia” Where would you like to build or stop momentum in your life?     Heather Hans, LCSW, MSW, MBA, CPIC, is a Visionary, Healer & Teacher, and the author of The Heart of Self-Love: How to Radiate with Confidence. It is Heather's firm belief that loving oneself is necessary to have fulfilling relationships and a successful life.  Join Heather’s 30-Day confidence challenge at avanoo.com If you enjoyed this blog, get Heather's love direct to your inbox with email updates. *Your address will NEVER be shared with...

What’s Your Vibe?

What’s Your Vibe?

What’s your vibe? Quantum physics shows us that nothing is actually solid. Everything you see, hear, taste, touch and smell is a vibrational being; including yourself. Dr. Emoto made visible the power of loving vibrations when he showed that ice crystals form in a beautiful, vibrant way when thoughts and words of love are directed at them. Conversely, when negative words, thoughts or emotions are directed towards water no crystals are formed at all; but instead chaotic, fragmented structures. Plants grow better when exposed to certain musical vibrations. The vibration of a cat’s purr improves human physiological wellbeing. We can create a powerful vibration when we tune into love and are true to ourselves. You hear the songs on the radio station that you choose to tune into and those are the songs that replay in your head all day long. Choose only valuable thoughts. If you’re gifted with sensitivity, then you know that sometimes you can mistake other people’s vibrations for your own when you’re picking up on them. We live in a relational, vibrational universe. Everything we do, think, see, touch is in relation to something else. Vibrations that are similar to one another connect. Love and gratitude are the highest vibrations you can carry in this life. Have you ever been so grateful that you had not a single prayer? What do you think would happen if everybody in the world stopped what they were doing and felt gratitude for five minutes? Love is what this gig is all about, folks! When you live in love, the world belongs to you! What’s your vibe?     Heather Hans, LCSW, MSW, MBA, CPIC, is a Visionary, Healer & Teacher, and the author of The Heart of Self-Love: How to Radiate with Confidence. It is Heather's firm belief that loving oneself is necessary to have fulfilling relationships and a successful life.  Join Heather’s 30-Day confidence challenge at avanoo.com If you enjoyed this blog, get Heather's love direct to your inbox with email updates. *Your address will NEVER be shared with...
