hustle closeHow would you rate your hustle on a scale of one to 10? One being, "I'm lazy and unmotivated," to 10 being, "I will do whatever it takes to realize my potential!"

Though I was born and raised in the wild west of Colorado, I come from three generations of New Yorkers and if there's one thing they taught me, it’s how to HUSTLE!

My grandfather dropped out of school in 9th grade to help take care of his poor, immigrant family in New York City. He was known as a tough & scrappy kid playing poker with his buddies on street corners, and yet, he died a self-made multi-millionaire.

My mother was a single mom who hustled her way into a good school district for me and, despite her introverted nature, went on to become the top salesperson of her company and was sent on lavish vacations for her achievement.

I went from having self-esteem in the gutter to being a confidence expert.

How did all these achievements happen? They happened through HUSTLE! Otherwise you’re just sitting back on the sidelines watching life pass you by.

To achieve any goal, there's a certain amount of hustle involved. Whether it’s a loving relationship, more money, work you love, a healthy body, you have to just keep plugging, plugging, plugging away and never give up!

Here are 5 quick tips on doing the hustle:

  1. Thank the Divine each morning for one more day to create the life of your dreams.
  2. Get used to failure and rejection and continuously modify your approach.
  3. Learn constantly! Read, take classes, study from the best and seek out mentors.
  4. Don't ever settle for less than you desire.
  5. (My favorite) Use your imagination and believe!
